Soul Sistah's Southern Cuisine

The food is fantastic, however their sporadic hours are not. I have driven there on a Saturday for the past 3 weeks and the restaurant was closed, despite that online it indicated it was open - each time!!! If someone is lucky enough to catch this restaurant when it IS open, I recommend the mac & cheese and turkey wings.

Food tastes decent Baked Mac and cheese was good, just a little dry Collard greens were on par with my mother in law's(good), but the "Soul Sista" fan favorite sauce on the boneless chicken sorta tasted like leftover general tso chicken? Idk it was odd, overall okay experience. The place seemed clean & welcoming

Delicious Southern Cooking... Mac and Cheese on point! Salmon and whiting cooked just right. And they have their own bottled soda I had Black Cherry I enjoyed everything. Will return

Delicious food, friendly staff, large portions and reasonably priced. Recommend 100%. I've had the Jerk Chicken meal with sides of collard greens and potato salad. This dish also comes with rice, and a roll. They get pretty busy and it's a small place, I'd suggest calling in your order for pick up if possible. I've noticed if you call within an hour of closing, they don't seem to answer the phone for orders, but what I've read on social media, you can show up in person and place your order. This restaurant is a great addition to Asbury Park.

AMAZING food. Jerk chicken was seasoned perfectly and it was so tender it fell off the bone. The Mac and cheese, candied yams, rice and roll were also perfect. Not one thing bad about the dish. And the girls are so friendly !! Also if they have cakes that day definitely get some they were also delicious. You definitely have to try this place
