02/04/26 - I asked the cashier to describe the mac and cheese. She seemed hesitant and the said "I can tell you that it's baked." I should have stopped there and not ordered it. It was NOT baked and was soupy. The beans and collard were flavorful but the greens were SALTY. Let's see if I make there for Sunday soul food.

First impression:( not good! After reading the reviews for Soul-out, my husband and I decided to visit! We came all the way from Birmingham... what a mistake! I value customer service more than anything.. especially being a first time customer! Completely ignored at counter while the person on the phone taking orders as customers like myself waited in front of her... not even an acknowledged to say, "we'll be right with you ":(.. The food was disappointing, as the macncheese was missing cheese, chicken dry and average portions and I was served burnt black cornbread:(.. spent $20.. very disappointed! It's easy to fix up a plate for an expected review... make it look good.... but surprise, surprise:( ! We won't be back! My husband didn't eat:(

Consistently Good Food, each time I go. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Well seasoned and flavorful but not overly seasoned. And its definitely somebody grandma cooking those biscuits in the morning 🫶

Decided to branch out and try something new. Walking in, there was a line and multiple people sitting and waiting for food. Not a lot of tables and space was small. Everyone was nice though, and had a pleasant attitude. Wait time was estimated to be at 15 minutes, but ended up being closer to 45 minutes. I got the grilled pork chops with mac and cheese and fried okra. The pork chops were very thin. The mac and cheese was extremely cheesy but bland. Pork chops had a smoky flavor but spice wise tasted very bleh. Brother in law got the ox tails, fried green tomatoes, and fried okra. His okra was mushy, the fried green tomatoes had a good crust though. His ox tails was flavorful and the rice was cooked perfect. Hubby had a double cheeseburger with fries. Fries had no salt and the burger was "
