Sopra Bistro

Thank you so much to Sopra Bistro for helping make our anniversary so special. About the most amazing fod we have ever had, from start to finish and fantastic service! From warm herb olives, fried goat cheese and creamy sautéed onion soup for starters with delicious salt baked bread... to creamy mushroom pasta and the best seared scallops with a brie cream and thin fried potatoes. Followed up with the most smooth and silky flour less dark chocolate dessert and delectable wines throughout. Can't wait to go back again some day. 5 out of 5 stars is not nearly enough for our experience there!

I am pleasantly surprised. In town with my husband for his work and staying at the resort. When looking for a solo dinner spot, the menu called me away from the resort. Maria is lovely and knowledgeable, but I will say the whole staff is on it! The portions are a little larger for a solo eater to have an appetizer and a pasta or entre, but I will walk away well fed and pleasantly plump. The crab appetizer scratched an itch I didn't know I needed scratching. The pasta restored my faith in mushrooms. Thank you, Chef!

We chose Sopra for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Rhe tomato bisque soup on special was a thicker and more enjoyable texture than I've had before. Entree "The Hunters", which showcases venison, was so good I was chewing slower than usual just to enjoy it as long as possible. Honestly, it was better than 98% of steaks I've eaten in my life. I don't think it's fair to talk about pricing when I went knowing it would be pricer, but I do think the flavor profile and preparation/presentation of the food exceeded my expectations and thus justified a higher price tag. I would come here again for a special occasion.

Wonderful experience. First off, our server Sara rocked. So welcoming, friendly, and had great recommendations - from beers to entrees. Speaking of which, had the scallops and they were terrific. Very well cooked with delicious, creative sides. Beer selection was wide ranging and my lavender sour was a nice pairing (and good rec by Sara). Highly recommend this place!

This was our second visit here. It's in the middle of downtown Lake Geneva — a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants. It has a classic-looking front façade, made from crafted wood millwork. Inside, on the lower level, is a bar area and seating for different-sized groups. Upstairs is another dining area that isn't as well furnished, but it is definitely quieter (which is always our pick). We had reservations on a Friday night and got seated right away. Our server got us settled in with water and menus. They have a drink menu with some interesting offerings of hand-crafted cocktails.
