I bought some snapper here two days ago and had it frozen since. I cooked the fish and noticed the meat of the fish was completely different than snapper usually is. I thought that maybe I didn’t cook it long enough but I cooked it for about 20 mins. As I ate the fish I cooked I noticed it had a funny smell and the texture was off. As I smelled the fish it smelled like pure ammonia. I will never support this establishment ever again
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I usually call my orders in and never have I have been disappointed. They clean, season and steam my crabs just the way I like it. Today is the day before my birthday and I'm on bed rest at home. So I couldn't go pick up my birthday treat to me. I called and asked if I can place my order and have Uber pick it up, that my birthday is tomorrow and I'm stuck in the house sick. No problem they said. I placed my order and when I called to tell her Uber will be there shortly she was already waiting outside in the rain. Once I got my order, I was happy to open and get to the crabs. I noticed an extra box and thought maybe they separated the order which was fine with me but no to my SURPRISE it was an extra order with "HAPPY BIRTHDAY " written on it. This made me cry. They are s
Year after year these people sell bad fish 365 days out of the year. The problem is they buy too much and it's not selling as fast as they would like.. So fish is sitting out for 3, 4, and 5 days. They don't throw out bad fish they sell it.. Everytime I visited this market and brought fish home to cook, the fish stunk up my entire house.. You can smell this lousy fish market blocks away. SELL YOUR COMMUNITY FRESH FISH. Fish should be pink, bright, with blood, and not smelly.. Your filet fish is terrible discolored and old.. BUY LESS FISH IN BULK AND SELL THE PEOPLE BETTER QUALITY FISH.. SEAFOOD POISONING IS THE WORSE KIND OF PAIN..
I get the biggest stone crab that they have about 5 or 6. if they are small i don't want them!!! I tell them i want the shell off and cleaned. they steam the crab then I ask for the spicy seasoning with the butter on the side... I don't want the butter on my food.. the cost is about $55. They are very very good 👍
I shop here often. Lot of fresh fish types and many wild options. At this market you can buy the fish have them clean it and take it home to cook. Or you can have them steam it or fry the fish for you. They have a variety of sides
