There are many amazing spots in Sonoma, but this one stands out as truly special. Sonoma Wine Shop / La Bodega offers one of the most unique and memorable dining experiences you can have. From the moment you walk in, the warmth and hospitality make you feel right at home. The food is exceptional — creative, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. The bistro ravioli and morel fettuccine were extra special — we literally wanted to lick the plate. Every dish feels crafted with care, and every bite surprises you. And Ori… what a gem. He’s a master at wine pairing — he keeps pouring and pairing until he finds exactly what you love. We came in as newbies and left feeling like family. If you’re anywhere near Sebastopol, do yourself a favor — go. You’ll eat, drink, laugh, and leave already planni

A true hidden gem in plain sight. The place is deceptively easy to overlook, away from the main street and Oxbow hustle. The moment I got that OpenTable confirmation, I knew it was different. The few texts I had before ordering told me this place is as real and authentic a home kitchen as it gets. Once there, no fanfare; it feels like stepping into a South France small village kitchen. The farm-to-table isn't a gimmick but simply how they cook. Everything tastes of itself, all local organic ingredients, no pretense , no fancy plating, just the pure, honest flavor of real food. The sommelier is genuinely invested in your experience. Rather than simply pairing a wine and moving on, he invites you to explore, to find what actually resonates with your dish and palate. Sincerely enjoyed our first experience here. The hospitality & atmosphere were great. We tried a little of everything including the mushroom pasta & shepherds pie which I’m still thinking about weeks later. The wine tasting was fun also. The only unique thing was the note about pre-ordering your meal, which I understand, but surprised us a little. Looking forward to next time!

My new favorite restaurant in the area by a landslide!!! Service is upbeat, food is so authentically curated, atmosphere is so cozy, making the whole dining experience just that- an experience. Not to mention this is a gluten free heaven (and dairy free too!) with most options on the menu able to be made gf and df. Insane wines as well. PS the dessert menu is not to be missed :)

La Bodega is such a lovely spot—vegetarian and full of flavor. There are so many great options, and everything I tried was delicious. Be sure to try the lasagna and arancini—they’re both fantastic! The staff is incredibly nice, and the whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe. It’s clear they really like chickens—no chicken on the menu, and proud of it! The wines are great too. Super cute place, highly recommend!
