Genero's Delicatessen

The Barlow has a new delicatessen with fantastic fresh deli sandwiches and salads. We tried the Spicy Zia and the Enzo, both were delicious. If you love a great deli sandwich prepared on fresh bread, with locally sourced fresh meats, and farm fresh veggies than this is the place to GO. The menu also offers salads and some tasty Antipasti and a great grab & go section.

My Cousin Morty sandwich ($17). Delicious!! Perfect proportions, you can taste all the separate toppings and they all work well together. We also had the beets and the kale caesar from the deli and both were delicious, but the kale really stood out. I’d order both again! Excited to return and try more from Genero’s. Excellent addition to The Barlow.

Stopped into Genero’s Delicatessen and things got weird… in the best possible way. I ordered The My Cousin Morty, which felt like the kind of sandwich that should come with a thick New York accent, a gold chain, and unsolicited advice about “a guy who knows a guy.” Absolute masterpiece. Perfect balance, stacked high, and messy enough that you know it’s legit. Now… my wife ordered The Pool Boy. Let me just say… when the server brought it to the table and loudly announced “Here’s the Pool Boy!” I felt like half the deli turned and looked at me with concern. Meanwhile the wife is sitting there smiling like she just upgraded her life choices. To be fair, the Pool Boy was phenomenal. 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend!! Im so excited for this family run, casual counter style restaurant that just opened in sebastopol serving up some of the BEST sandwiches I've ever had! There's also a deli counter with salads and fresh meats available by the pound! The service is super friendly! The owners are right on site and the people working the kitchen are definitely representing the flavors they've created. Their menu has something for everyone, even a sandwich with roasted broccoli on it! I can't wait to eat through the menu, they are only 23 minutes from my house and open daily 11-4, how dangerous for me! LOL! I’m so glad this is here! I was going to take a photo of my sandwich but I scarfed it down instantly. I got the Dottie - their take on a tuna melt. It was absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients and nice melty cheese. Only 4 out of 5 because you know what would make this truly next level? Double the tuna salad and double the cheese! Then it would be the Chicago style deli I’ve always dreamed of. Still going to keep coming back for more!
