Sonny's NY Pizza

I've tried this place three times. The first two times, it was absolutely terrible. Whatever you do, don't try their "Detroit style". It's nowhere near Detroit style. And ask for their round pizza well done if you want it fully cooked. This third time was fine. Sauce was bland, and crust was still dense.

This is my favorite pizza place in the eldersburge area, the staff is amazing , they always make you feel welcomed. The pizza is delicious and affordable, which makes me stop by often. It is a great value. Monday's they have a plain cheese pizza discount great time to grab one.

First time visiting. Ordered online for pickup. Order was accurate and ready on time. The restaurant seemed nice and clean on the inside and the staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered Greek salad, gluten free with sausage and onions, and the godfather pizza. Greek salad was fresh and crisp; enjoyed the dressing as well. The godfather pizza was great, crust was soft and chewy. The gluten free was good - it wasn't the best gluten free I've had but it was average. The biggest plus was the pizza came with its own little pizza cutter! I've never had a restaurant do that before, so it was a great addition so you don't have to worry about the cross contamination from the cutter that's been used on all the other pizzas. The cost was pretty average for what we received. Will return again!

Have made the trip from Westminster to Eldersburg for pizza & subs twice. Very friendly staff, excellent pizza and Italian cold cut. Fresh crispy crust and high quality toppings evenly placed on the pie. Love the music play list. Very well done all around. Our new favorite place for pizza in Carroll County!

Sonny’s of NY isn’t exactly the slice of New York heaven I was hoping for. I went in with high hopes but ended up with pizza that fell a bit flat. The crust was fine, but the sauce lacked that flavorful kick—more like a hint of tomato than a sauce with any soul. And let’s talk about the pepperoni: they didn’t bother to bake it into the cheese; just tossed it on top like an afterthought, leaving it to slip and slide right off. All in all, Sonny’s feels more like a missed note than a pizza symphony. Not the worst, but hardly worth a return ticket
