Sombrero Tacoria Livingston

This Mexican place has authentic flavor. It was a relief to get a tasty meal. The Birria tacos were delicious. My husband said his tacos were good as well. I brought some home for my kids and they also agreed that they were flavorful. The staff were welcoming and explained how the menu worked. They brought the food to our table and then packed up whatever we didn’t finish to take home. The decor is bright and vibrant. We will be back again.

My experience was only slightly better than what I'd expect from a Taco Bell. I don't understand why the tacos lacked flavor, despite having decent ingredients. I tried one of each ( chicken, beef, and shrimp ) but none of them stood out. They all felt bland.

visited this taco place for the first and definitely last time tonight. The chicken taco trio was genuinely awful. The chicken was hard, flavorless, and sitting in so much liquid that the cardboard plate ended up completely soaked in what I can only describe as chicken sludge. It was clear the chicken had been sitting around for a long time before being used. The pico de gallo tasted old as well, like it had been sitting out far too long. To make things worse, the medium guacamole, which was $10 for a tiny container and was brown and bland. No lime, no cilantro, no fresh avocado flavor, just a dull brown mush that should never have been served. For counter-service food at this price point, the very least they could do is make the guacamole fresh. This was easily the worst Mexican food I’

I have now eaten at Sobrero Tacoria in Livinston 4 or 5 times. I love their birria tacos. They are so delicious and they keep me coming back. Also, the staff at Sombrero Tacoria do a great job of serving you.

Super friendly service. Had the birra and pastor tacos. Son said his quesadilla was the best he’s “ever had.”
