major health and safety concerns at this site. brought my toddler home a smoothie and upon happening to taste it myself, discovered decently sized chunks of black plastic. poured the smoothie out into a bowl to find even more and was uncertain if he had swallowed any through the straw himself. brought the findings back to the store within 20 minutes and the employees weren’t even surprised!! briefly apologized kind of nonchalantly and then told me this has happened a few times before when the parts get old in the blender, which they admitted to realizing after I left the store upon going to clean the blender. As someone who frequents health-forward cafes and has long appreciated the SoBol brand for its consistency and clean offerings, my recent visit to the Islip location was nothing short of deeply disappointing. What should have been a simple order of three smoothies turned into one of the most frustrating customer service encounters I have experienced in recent memory. Upon entering, we placed an uncomplicated order: a small SB smoothie, a small Pitaya Plus, and a large Super Green with apple juice substituted for coconut, with spirulina and strawberry added. We had to repeat the order multiple times, and even then, the staff seemed unsure and confused, lacking even basic familiarity with the register. This is the second or third time I ordered from this place and they constantly be getting it wrong it is so disappointing. I am never coming here again

Been goin here for a while now but just today i noticed a huge dip in quality. Sad because the staff from 2019-2020 was so nice and welcoming plus the fruit wasnt cut super terribly. On top of that the owner was rude. If youre looking for another açaí spot try the place across the street EDIT: just ate halfway through my bowl and noticed a strawberry when it was EXPLICITLY requested that strawberries be removed from my sunshine bowl due to an allergy. If i could rate this place lower i would. Hope i dont f-ing die now.

Great variety of acai bowls. I usually skip soy for a coconut milk blend. I noticed a sign for a spinach almond milk blend last time I was there.
