Smoke House Restaurant

We tried Smoke House as a last minute decision to have breakfast at a place we’ve been meaning to visit. The parking was limited, but after a minute we found a spot off to the side of the lot. Upon entering we learned that this restaurant was more like a dining hall. It’s a room filled with picnic styled benches, as apposed to restaurant styled tables and booths. A more cabin-in-the-woods feel. The food was excellent! Simple. Tasty. And the price was even better!! This little hole-in-the-woods restaurant is certainly worth trying. There’s a simple menu and they’re not open all day. They serve breakfast, and early lunch items. It’s not an all day restaurant, so get there early!! The restaurant was crowded on the Saturday we went. We waited probably 20 minutes between sit down and receiving our meals. The biscuits and gravy are the best i have ever eaten. The eggs are pretty good too. Staff was busy as heck, but still nice enough to get anything you requested right away. I have been here a couple of times since my original post and the food and service is still very good.

Amazing place! It's kind of a hole in the wall so you may have to seek it out, but it's well worth the effort! We found a table quickly, but there was a line by the time we left, even after asking 2 friends who showed up after us to sit. Food was very reasonably priced. We ordered from a very attentive server and we were thrilled by how quickly the food came out. Everything tasted great and we had leftovers. Well definitely be back! 7-20-25 Back again and as impressed as ever. This place just keeps delivering!

We found smokehouse about a year ago and it has become our family favorite. The staff, food and atmosphere is very southern comfort. You might wait on the weekends for food, but it always comes out HOT, and the girls out front do such a great job taking care of everyone. It is cash only, but it is easily one of the best breakfast spots in Charlotte County. It’s a MUST TRY if you’ve never been.

If you’re looking for local there’s nothing more local in Punta Gorda than the Smoke House Restaurant!! They’ve got the best home style breakfast you’ll find in SWFL. All the basics just like grandma plus really good sausage gravy. Service is friendly small time charm like you would expect. Family style seating has you making new friends by the time you finish eating. Give them a try as you won’t regret it. Cash only 👍
