Smitty's Place - Elyria, OH

I went into the restaurant today, towards the end of lunch. It took a while to be seated, I think due to some general confusion. Amber was working the bar came over to give me a menu and invited me to sit down at the bar . I saw boom, boom shrimp as a special i think, which I highly recommend. Amber did tell me that it was a fairly small portion. With that in mind, I also ordered fried shrimp with fries. The other side I had in mind, was fairly from her perspective, so I avoided that. The food came out fairly fast which I ordered to go! This was despite the fact that the bar was fairly full this afternoon. I’m pretty sure I tipped over 25%, for such a wonderful wonderful experience. I Always tip my hat to those who multitask when there are a lot of people. Highly recommend this place

One of my favorites in Elyria. I make it a point about once a week to go there for lunch. The food is good. The people are friendly. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. One of my favorites is the Smitty burger, which is a copy of the manners, big boy. There are also a lot of other items on the menu that I like so I’ve given this a very high rating.

Every time I eat here 10/10, great staff and very clean. Ordered pick up food for the first time here and it was ready within 15 minutes; (food for 5 people btw). Very affordable and delicious!

Stopped in for the Smitty burger. We were traveling, spent the night in Elyria and wanted to eat at a local place instead of a chain. The burgers were simply ok. Nothing I would really recommend to other travelers, or if I lived here would make a point of coming here just for a Smitty burger. Not sure what the special Smitty sauce was, but there was way too much of it and all we thought was that it was mayonnaise. We did have to agree with the other reviews to clean the gross sticky menus and give the place a cleaning. All said, on the return trip we won't stop back here as the burgers were just ok.

Took forever to get a server to wait on us, food tasted like restaurant food service food, seemingly nothing made fresh. Accidentally charged me for a drink I did not order
