Silver Bell Motel

Nice young man is redoing the entire motel. it was falling apart for years and is finally being updated, I was able to stay and talk a while with him to here his ideas, cant wait to see what happens with the place.

I'll be back whenever I can. Other than a new smoke alarm and tile in the bathroom the place is unchanged since I last stayed here in 1968. Yes. 51 years ago. It is a treasure that younger generations need to experience. Clean. Quiet. Great shower. Nice towels. Good bed. Wifi TV and heat worked fine. The clock was even set correctly. (I've spent $200 and the clock wasn't set!) But- no hair dryer, no bathtub, no cable, bed is double not queen.

it is what it is. Being the only hotel in Fayette MO is it's advantage if yo have to do businees there. It is absolutely budget and low scale. The manager is very friendly. there's only 7-10 rooms, old style and low grade but - I wasn't bothered, it was cleaned every day, and it served the basic need - a place to sleep at night. it's very cheap - under $40 a night so if it is cheap and located in Fayette MO you seek; this place will work but you basically get just a room. it was cold outside - the heater worked very well and I felt safe there.

Watched the eclipse here and was a beautiful experience! Hotel was excellent piece & quiet and clean room with very reasonable rate!

Cheap, old, out dated. Decent beds tho.
