To start, reservations are needed. We have yet to just walk in but this place is busy. We were seated quickly and were brought bread and water, with the drink order taken. Great bloody Marys here. I had shrimp and grits on e and a Cajun dish the second time we were there. Both excellent! Staff is great and great parking too. Highly recommend.

We finally made the 45-minute drive to Lafayette on the Square after hearing so many great things—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We went on Valentine’s Day and chose the four-course meal. We split the truffle fries and fried oysters to start—both were exceptional. I mean, how can you go wrong with truffle anything? I had the roasted garlic and bell pepper soup in a tomato base. It looked thick but had a light consistency and was bursting with flavor without being too heavy. My wife had the salad with the famous honey jalapeño dressing, and it was just as good as we remembered. For entrées, I took a chance on the 1886 lasagna (shrimp allergy limited my options), and I’m glad I did. The vodka sauce was outstanding—easily one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever had. The food was really good. The service was nice. Atmosphere was low key during the week for supper. It is expensive, but the portions definitely provide extra and make up for the price. You get what you pay for!

🔥 **Restaurant Review: A Cajun-American Gem Worthy of the James Beard Spotlight** 🔥 If you're searching for a culinary experience that marries soulful Southern comfort with elevated Cajun flair, look no further than this standout Cajun-American restaurant—an absolute revelation that deserves serious James Beard Award consideration. ### 🐖 **Juicy Pork & Flavorful Succotash** The pork here is a masterclass in slow-cooked perfection. Each bite is impossibly tender, bursting with smoky depth and a subtle spice that lingers just long enough to make you crave the next forkful. Paired with a vibrant succotash—sweet corn, creamy lima beans, and a whisper of heat—it’s a dish that feels both rustic and refined. ### 🍝 **Cajun Pasta That Redefines the Genre** Forget everything you thought you knew

Absolutely terrible. This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time was the day before Valentine’s Day. Tonight, I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with no broccoli. Came out with Broccoli, no big deal, I sent it back and it came back about a minute later come to find out they just “picked it out” and brought it back to me. There are still little pieces of it in there. I send it back again and they do the same thing, pick it out and bring it back. Definitely not how things should be ran. They should have remade it in the beginning. After that, I just said I didn’t want it. Fries came out cold and undercooked, they took it back and re-fried it and sent back out. I really thought by the vibe and looks of this place I was going to have a very nice dinner, well I was wrong. I will not be goi
