Silk Mill Grille

Absolutely a must stop restaurant in Orange! We finally came in after many recommendations, and were not disappointed! Our server was the most amazing person and the food was to die for. Desserts were perfect as well! Definitely stop in here for the history and the food!

Overall good experience. We came in for an early lunch around 11:30 -they just opened and only a few tables. Server was friendly and helpful with my husbands dairy allergy. Food was good. His steak was a bit undercooked but edible. The sauce on the steak grillers and rice was great. Slow service at the end but we will be back.

Went for lunch today(saturday) We both felt like a burger and ordered the"one eyed jack" It was cooked perfectly. Mine medium and hers medium rare. Perfectly! And they were delicious ! Like Wow! Or waitress Marcy (Marcie?) Was super friendly. Quick and attentive. The place was clean, bright and decorated with period mill items. We will go back when in the area.

So much potential here!! The location is central to the little town. The ambiance feels very fancy upon entering, but very down home when seated. The food was very good and worth coming back for. The service was good, but felt somewhat rushed, at 6 pm that's not cool. The booths had food and trash from the last seating. It was quickly cleared away by our waitress, but should not have been there in the first place. Two out of towners with no previous knowledge of menu, reviews, or service enjoyed ourselves. The bar bathroom was clean, the other bathroom was outside the entrance, so didn't attempt to go there. I think there is a lack of identity here... are you upscale or family oriented? Hard to tell, but, nevertheless, an overall 4 star experience. Under $100 for 2 people

We found the Silk Mill Grille after spending time strolling local Antique Shops around Orange. Looking up a good Hamburger near by offered the Silk Mill Grille at affordable price and good rated option. After a very enjoyable lunch, with great service in a very interesting Old Mill surrounding we agree it's a great spot and will return when in the area.
