Sigal Models & Talent

I am not a signed model with Sigal, but I did have a meeting with them. They charge a $150 agency fee, on top of a 20% agency fee (that's industry standard), as well as require exclusivity in the state of Ohio. They also push modeling classes that cost a hefty $350-$400. I am already signed with other modeling agencies that do not have an agency fee or push their own modeling courses. I urge you to do your research before committing yourself to an agency that requires you to pay fees outside of the work they get for you.

Waste of time and money, $400 will get you some basic modeling info and a few videos of posing. 100% not worth it. You can try to use your own photos and save money but they’ll keep denying them until you pay another $350 for there son to take the photos. I know several models that are signed and did pay the money and the work for them over a two year span has been very minimal. There are several agencies here in Ohio that offer so much for little to nothing!

My daughter has been with Sigal Models for almost 4 years now. She started at the agency in 8th grade. Karen has treated us like family since day 1. I appreciate her conversations to my daughter about the importance of maintaining a healthy body image, feeling comfortable at castings/photo shoots and the importance of giving back to her community through volunteering, etc. The Sigal family is always there to support the models and every job my daughter has been involved with has been very professional and organized.

Horrible Experience! While trying to branch out my child’s creative muscle I was referred to this agency by one of their models. After having an interview with an unprofessional admission director I was blown away by his assumptions and type castings of me. He explained to me that they had a development class for $450 dollars and explained what it did. I asked a clarification question “does my child have to take this class before she is offered any gigs or modeling jobs?” He was very vague with his answer using phrases “I would recommend” “it would be best” “you wouldn’t hire people that don’t know what their doing” , when I asked another clarifying question he assigned me the emotion of being upset almost as if he was stereotyping. Well...ITS A SCAM. You should never ever have to pay for a legit model agency. It was also a big waste of my two hour drive to go see them. I was with them for not even ten minutes. They talked about modeling classes for a COST. Real big agencies never make you pay for any classes and are fantastic mentors. I have been informed with the modeling industry for some time and this is so pathetic how people fall for this agency! im warning you, stay away please! If you want modeling jobs get a good agency in New York or Los Angeles who will actually help you. Very disappointed in this.
