Shipwrecks Taphouse & Grill

Things seemed a bit off tonight. I left my rating at 5 stars because it's always been good here. The Hush puppies were a bit hard and dry tonight. My wife's black beans and rice lacked any seasoning, but the tacos were good. The Shrimp & Grits were very good as usual.

Loved this place! The best fries and flavorful+crispy flounder. Waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive!

My family and I have visited Shipwrecks a couple of times in the last few years and the food is always great and so is the service. This time the service was especially exceptional. Our server Carolyn was so thoughtful and tentative (without being overly so) and so so kind to our kids and friendly. Re-enforcing why Shipwrecks is a favorite of ours when we visit the OBX. This time I got the Surf & Turf Creole (daily special) which of it was so delicious but the steak was so perfectly cooked and seasoned I wound up wishing I had just gotten the steak entree. Husband got the bacon jam burger which was soo good.

Food was incredible!!! I recommend ordering the Blackened tuna bites!! Burgers were fantastic too!! Will definitely be going back when I visit!!

This was our first trip to the OBX! So with that fun fact, we needed to eat at a local popular place that could cater to all appetites and preferences. Wow... Just WOW!! The staff was simply amazing, kind, helpful and so attentive as well as personable! The food... Oh the food was exceptional! I can't recommend one dish, because everything we ate was 💋🤌💯 above and beyond any expectation! I will say that the crab dip was divine!! We were in absolute heaven eating everything that was served. Well done on impressing us Western Nebraskans, especially on the burgers that the guys ate! I could go on and on... But I will let the food speak for itself for the next person who is wondering where they should eat while visiting the far east coast! Bravo everyone... Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏
