The Cypress Moon Inn

Our stay at Cypress Moon Inn was idyllic! The home is close to amenities. Cocooned on a large waterfront lot in a haven of trees, you feel miles way from the bustle. Upon arrival, Linda warmly greeted us and ensured our comfort before offering a dinner suggestion. Ocean Boulevard was a spot-on recommendation! The next morning Greg shared local knowledge of the greater Outer Banks region. We followed several of his suggestions, resulting in an engaging and lovely day of exploration. The home is filled with charm. We enjoyed early mornings on the deck, feeling in-tune with nature. We spent evenings playing some of the board games the Inn keeps onsite. Overall a wonderful trip with equally gracious hosts. Thank you!

This is the place I picked out for my honeymoon. What made me choose this gorgeous handmade inn is the fantastic views. With a convenient location, friendly host, clean and stocked rooms; this was the perfect place for me and my husband. Romantic and full of charm you can find that each room is uniquely defined while also continuous fit each other's style. The shared porch does have it's private space. Private and scenic with a great connection to the wildlife of the outer banks. I love the animals that you can find around the inn like deer. Thank you the stay we will be back!

If you're looking for a hidden, private getaway on the beautiful Albemarle Sound (a lake teeming with river otters and other wildlife), surrounded by forest with free kayaks and bicycle amenities, this is your paradise home away from home. They have Tesla chargers right in front of the inn, which is a godsend as there aren't many EV chargers in OBX. The view from the swinging chairs on the deck is priceless. If you want the typical beach town vibes, then you can just bike/drive 10 minutes right across the street, too! This is a great location in Kitty Hawk near a Food Lion, Walmart, Harris Teeter, and (my personal favorite) Cosmo's Pizzeria. ||I came to the inn during one of the most difficult times of my life, dealing with personal health issues and a close family member being hospitalize

Cypress Moon Inn is the most perfect getaway! The entire place is amazing. Nestled away on the Currituck Sound is the most relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The sunsets are magnificent! If you are looking for a place to celebrate an anniversary or just unplug this place is for you. We were totally blown away with the peaceful atmosphere and hospitality. I have no complaints about my stay at the cypress moon inn, you cannot beat this place for the price. Location is beautiful, with a balcony that gives you a nice view of the sound side. Breakfast is some fruit and muffins, restocked each day. It's a light breakfast, perfect for starting your day. There's a Walmart nearby just in case you forget or need to pick up anything. Additionally the host Greg is delightful, I could talk to him for hours. He built the house himself and did a very good job. He provides free bikes you can take down to the beach, as well as kayaks to use on the lake behind the house. Only complaint (if I had to complain) would be that there is no microwave, but for how nice the place is that didn't bother me.
