Sherman House Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I were able to book here for one night while in Charles City for a wedding. Our stay was very enjoyable, from the introductions and quick check in / tour of the house to the amazing farm fresh breakfast. And in between Michael and Roxanne went out of their way to assure we had a great stay -- they are great people and great hosts. The atmosphere is relaxed, the rooms comfortable and clean, the house furnishings are well done -- attention to details. And the breakfast was simply marvelous, with a fun relaxed conversation a plus. All in all, we'd highly recommend a stay here!

Beyond amazing! We stayed here the night of our wedding. Decorated very nice. Room was clean. They were very nice people. Breakfast was AMAZING!

Phenomenally appointed rooms, comfortable beds and the best breakfast anywhere! Mike and Roxanne are the nicest, sweetest people you'll meet and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. I'm in Charles City quite often for business- Mike and Roxanne's hospitality and the accommodations at the Sherman House, (did I mention the fantastic breakfast?) all make my business travel a lot easier and relaxing. Highly recommended- and get Mike's pancake recipe.

My boyfriend & I had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before and decided to try this place, after we didnt have much luck at the local motels/hotels. I arrived before my boyfriend did and was greeted right away. I was given a tour of the place and explained how to order breakfast. The owners also explained places to go see and places to eat. In the morning our breakfast was DELICIOUS!! It was hot and fresh and the amount of food we got was more than we expected to get. The rooms were clean and the entire place is gorgeous!! We were treated in a professional manner, but yet was treated as if we were longtime friends (even family members)......but still our privacy was respected. We even forgot to let them know when we left to go do some site seeing and they called us to get permiss

We recently stayed at Sherman House as part of a wedding party. The hosts were there to greet us right away in the morning while the girls and guys were getting ready. They had snacks and drinks set up for us which was amazing. When we got done we were all in a hurry to get to the church so we left garment bags scattered in all rooms and all of our things everywhere. When we arrived back that night, everything had been picked up and put into a neat pile for us. In the morning they cooked us an amazing breakfast! They were so kind and accommodating! I couldn't believe we could get that service! We will definitely stay there again and we are originally from Charles City where we wouldn't need to pay to stay at our families houses. ||||I would recommend them over and over! You won't be
