A Wonderful Surprise We stopped by for a meal and were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the restaurant. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the service highly professional. The French onion soup was outstanding, the salmon in the salad was perfectly prepared, and the pork dumplings were flavorful and well made. Highly recommended!

The place is located inside the entrance to the lobby of the headwaters lodge and cabins itself and is pretty much the only restaurant option for about 10 miles. Given that, the restaurant is exceptionally good even for its remote isolation. The place offers amazing delicious entrees like their burgers and some really nice appetizers like the Bruschetta bread with goat cheese. They also have a fine collection of wines. I would recommend arriving early for dinner as the place gets full easily and you might have to wait 20-30 minutes to get a table. But overall, an excellent place for lunch/dinner/breakfast.

Sheffield's Restaurant is located at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins. It contains magnificent natural views and a pleasant dining atmosphere. With locavore-friendly, globally influenced dishes to choose from, the menu has something for everyone. The cute spot has a state park/yurt decor, and the theme is for outdoor sportsmen offering game meats on their menu. We tried Alfredo pasta, Beefalo Burger (a revolutionary blend of bison, boar, and deer patty), and Seared Red Trout. Every dish is lovingly cooked with fresh ingredients and a pinch of good old-fashioned homely charm. Sheffield's isn't just welcoming and cozy, it also happens to be the perfect place for kicking back by a fire after you've had your fill of outdoor adventures.

Loved the cozy decor and fireplace at the entrance. We were seated with only a couple minutes' wait. The restaurant was busy and we only saw two waitresses. We were seated and were not given menus, served water, but had to ask the greeter for menus. No one else gave us any, either. We sat for a while. Finally, a waitress came by to take our drink and food order. She was super sweet and cheerful, which made up for the very long lapses in checking on our table. I sat with an empty beverage for a while. The food was excellent! Although it was pricey, well worth it.

Wonderful experience at Sheffields. I tried the soup of the day which was the pea and fennel soup was amazingly well done. The black bean burger was good the patty was slightly over baked but still did the trick. We also had some egg frittata the next day for breakfast and that too was amazingly done (veggies and not very spicy), the side of potatoes almost in wedges style were cherry on the top for our meal.
