Shanty Seafood

I’ve ordered from here multiple times but today was my very last time. I ordered honey old bay wings and got overly sauced bbq wings. My seafood boil also had no seasoning and some of the weirdest stuff on the potatoes. Highly disappointed I spent $50 on crappy food.

It can be tough getting good steamed crabs out of season. Called Crab Shanty this morning. They told me they had heavy crabs for a good price. They weren’t kidding. Picked up a bushel of Ex Large medium seasoning. They were done on time, seasoned well and as big as many Jumbo I’ve seen. I’m not sure why this place isn’t rated higher than a 4.2 but I can definitely say they are the best within an hour of Seaford. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend them to anyone. Crabs were heavy and full. Prices were great…

Definitely won’t be back for the shrimp until the season ends. We tried choking them down but couldn’t get over the watery and flavorless taste of the 1lb large shrimp we got. No amount of salt nor butter could fix the flavor. The shrimp have always been great but lately the quality of the food has been lacking.

Was told about this place. If there is such a thing as a local, pure Sussex County, establishment, this is it. Wanted crab meat and was able to purchase a pound of the best fresh crab meat I have gotten in the last 30 years. The "back of the building, back door" entrance is a hoot! Just moved to the area stopped in got a dozen of extra large crabs to crab cake platers everything was outstanding crabs fresh and full and for 10 dollars more you get 1lb of shrimp and 4 ears of corn very pleased with the quality and price I will be ordering again thank you
