Serramonte Main Branch - Daly City Public Library

Cozy, quiet, clean library next to the park. Had a pleasant work session there, was not much people

After I ate my lunch at the Serramonte mall, I took a quick walk to the library to my finish my assignments. It was a great pleasure working here. It’s surrounded by lots of trees and even has a garden area near the front, which I liked a lot. Some small libraries don’t have a big selection, but this library’s shelves were stocked from top to bottom. Friends of the Library shop is cheap and also offers free books as usual. Not much traffic so it’s very quiet. The only issue I could find was that the building is a little old, hence why parts of the building are in the process of being replaced right now (I think that’s why the roof looked off). Otherwise, overall, 4/5.

went there early in the morning for EV charging. the parking lot is very clean. Ample lighting in the lot. Unfortunately, the library is not open at the time I was there. But I will definitely try to go back,during the regular business hour to see how is the inside.

Overall, this library is very good. It is well managed; it has many good, smart books, newspapers and magazines that are well orginized. It seems like the perfect place to be. But, unfortunately, this library is very noisy. I tried to find a corner with the least exposure to noise, but there aren't enough chairs and tables to be able to hide as far as possible. And the main noisy maker is an employee- just one employee. I always thought that in the library where people come to learn or do some research, it was supposed to be quiet. And the library members, i would assume, speaking with a soft voice. Not here. As a result, I found it nearly impossible to do serious studying in this facility. Most employees, by the way, are very helpful, knowledgeable, and considerate.

It is very noisy! The staff talk very loudly! It seems they help others but they also speak loudly and discuss together! Other people do not make any noise and they focus on very well on their studies!
