Such a wonderful evening! We can’t wait to come back! The service was amazing (even when they got busy, they were still attentive and kind, taking the time to listen to us and guide us into making menu choices) Everyone was working so hard and the efforts showed in the atmosphere, the food, and the service. The appetizers and rolls and nigiri were delicious, the sake and wine were perfect and the desert was a wonderful end to the evening. We were impressed with the extra touches like red bean paste with the icecream and yuzu ponzu with the appetizer! Everything had excellent flavor and beautiful presentation. It was so special that the sushi chef came over to say hello despite having a busy evening! We were also impressed with the amount of thought that went into everything, from the beaut
Went here for dinner this evening with my 4 year old daughter and had the most wonderful time. The food was absolutely great, the restaurant has such a lovely, cozy ambience, and the staff were absolutely incredible. I can’t recall having such a great dining experience, especially with a child. Chef Genta was truly great and so welcoming, and we can’t wait to return. 10/10!!!
A restaurant run with sincerity and true Japanese hospitality. Both the food and the service are outstanding. The quality is so high you could easily expect an omakase experience, yet you can enjoy it à la carte — a rare find in Manhattan. The neighborhood is lucky to have this place.
A small Japanese place close to our apartment and such a great find. We tried their lunch menu and everything was amazing. The fish tasted very fresh, the portions were just right, and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. It felt cozy and personal, like a neighborhood spot you want to keep coming back to. Definitely one of those hidden gems you’re happy to have nearby.
I discovered this place for lunch and had to come back for dinner, the sushi was so fresh and expertly prepared. The people who work here are super friendly and it has good vibes. I especially love the adorable frogs made out of cucumbers. Lovely cute little spot.
