Great library! The staff always makes it a point to interact with the kids, too which I love!! It’s the same amazing hometown little library I remember as a kid.
OMG! I stopped in here after grabbing a bite at Tavern on the James to check some emails and run through a few practice questions for an upcoming certification exam. The lady at the counter was incredibly kind, but wow—this has to be one of the smallest libraries I’ve ever seen. It's tight in here! I’m seated to the left of the front counter where the public computers are. I’m using my own laptop, but the noise level is something else. There’s an elderly woman on speakerphone who’s been repeating for ten minutes that she can’t hear the person on the other end. Then a younger couple walked in, and now the woman in that group is also on a speaker call. Yet, hers was short lived. The original lady finally got up and said, it is usually quite in here but this is very noisey then walked outs
Haven’t been here in years, but stopped by to use the internet. I’d love to come back and peruse the books but as a workspace, it’s untenably loud. Not just with kids there, the librarians are loud. Disappointed there’s nowhere quiet to read or work seemingly.
Cute and convenient library in downtown Scottsville. We appreciated the strong internet and kind librarians. Thanks, Tim!
Librarians there are super helpful and are genuinely there for the children. Boo-hoo to the people that complain it’s too noisy. You can go outside or go to a different library The days of the hushing people inside a library are long gone
