Scofield House B&B

We had the best experience at Scofield House in October. The owners are exceptionally accommodating and delightful people. We had an issue with our booking (our fault) that they handled graciously, which we so appreciated. |They are both wonderful to talk to and have a wealth of recommendations for the area. The food was delicious and filling. We especially enjoyed all of the local cherries incorporated into the breakfast. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and incredibly well-appointed. ||Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We cannot recommend Scofield House highly enough!

This was my first time staying in Door County, and I am so pleased with my choice of The Scofield House! Janet and Carl were absolutely wonderful, the food was fantastic and they were both so kind and welcoming. They had great recommendations for things to do in the area, especially as a first-timer to the peninsula. The location was very convenient to downtown Sturgeon Bay - walking distance to the downtown strip - while still remaining peaceful. Not to mention, the autumn foliage surrounding the property was to die for. Driving to the tip of the peninsula only took about an hour. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'm really glad I chose this location for my first time visiting.

Our stay at the Scofield House was absolutely fabulous. Janet and Carl were exceptional hosts and had everything we could’ve possibly needed throughout the weekend. From the jacuzzi tub in our room to the complimentary snacks and beverages, our stay was so so enjoyable. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious and the mornings were so relaxing. The house itself is gorgeous and if you appreciate historic homes then I highly recommend staying. We spent time on the enormous front porch having tea both evenings- so peaceful and perfect. The house is walking distance from downtown Sturgeon Bay and the hosts had many excellent recommendations on what to do while we stayed. 10000/10 and we will be back!!!

Wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was excellent. Janet and Karl are extremely helpful with questions about the area. The cookies and.coffee are amazing as well.

We recently enjoyed great hospitality from Janet and Karl at Scofield House as part of our road trip around Lake Michigan. They are obviously very passionate about their home and enjoy sharing it with guests.|Our room was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed including water, root beer, bottle opener, ice etc. I'm sure if we'd forgotten anything they would have supplied it.|Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting to other guests in the beautiful dining room. Our room had a small balcony and was a great place for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.|A great start to our trip!
