SB's Lakeside Love Shack

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SB’s Love Shack is an absolute gem. It’s a smaller café, so indoor seating is limited and there can be a short wait. They don’t take reservations and seat only once your full party arrives, which makes sense for the space. When the weather is warmer, they have a large patio. Open 9 AM–2 PM. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the décor has a fun, unique RVA vibe. The food was incredible. I had the Glitter on a Mattress (Texas toast with bacon and sausage gravy, plus a side of bacon and edible glitter) — delicious and a huge portion. We also tried the French toast and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was fantastic. Parking is limited in front, but there’s plenty in the back with easy walk-up access. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Y’all. This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the eggs Benny, and it was DIVINE. Accompanied by a very fresh and succulent fruit salad, and delicious, fresh dressed side greens….. my mind was blown. The eggs were poached to perfection! The bartender just fantastic. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best brunch place in all of RVA! We got there at 11am on a Saturday in the middle of brunch rush and had just a 10 minute waiting before being sat. Food came out hot and fresh. When they ask if you want to order a cinnamon bun before your meal comes… say yes. Trust me. Even the prices were incredible. We got two entrees, iced coffee, and a cinnamon bun all for under $35!

While on the road as a traveling photographer, I was delighted to find this hidden gem. I tried to go to locally owned restaurants. This establishment did not disappoint! The originality blew me away! Huge fan of The B52's! Bloody Mary was "The Bomb Diggidy!"

This restaurant is a great place to bring friends, the menu has some great unique options that I really appreciate. The food I had was very enjoyable and I liked the atmosphere, however the scope of the menu was narrow, there were only really heavy greasy options (which are delicious I admit) however there were limited simple or lighter options. I thought the pork with the scallion cheddar pancakes was a huge standout for me, and is a gigantic portion so split it with someone. The sticky bun was personally too sweet and overwhelming for me but I did love the whipped cream cheese frosting. Also this place is really popular and really should have more than one restroom as there was a line down the back wall.
