Sassafras Kitchen & Coffee Bar

One of my favorite stops when I’m in Hillsboro! Serving Deeper Roots coffee, this coffee shop starts with the best beans which makes everything they serve Amazing! The vibe in here is also super chill, yet classy. The shop is also located on the Ohio Coffee Trail so make sure you get your passport stamped!

Incredibly delicious food and coffee! We had the street corn nachos and the orchard melt sandwich. Everything tasted perfect!! Their house drip coffee was out of this world. The decor is darling! Highly recommend

My husband and I ate here several times during our stay in Hillsboro, and it was all so good! The staff were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is great, and they have lots of unique coffee drinks to try. Two of our favorites were the banana nut macchiato and cinnamon toast breve. For the food, the breakfast sandwich is incredible, and the pancakes are so fluffy and delicious. My husband loved the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito. Also, the cookies are soft baked, which I prefer, and the flavors were great. We wish we could take this cafe home with us!

Was down here for a wedding and was staying in hillsboro! came here all 3 mornings i was in town! staff is great! food is great! atmosphere is great! reminds me of home with the small town feel! if you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot you've found it! 10/10 recommend!

To say that this is a hidden gem of Hillsboro is an understatement. It is a cozy chic cafe, with the friendliest wait staff. My waitress was Victoria, and she was knowledgeable about the complete menu and drinks. She was attentive to our drinks and didn’t hover. I had the eggs Benedict and a side of breakfast potatoes. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Can’t wait to come back!
