This is a hidden gem that I wish I found 20 years ago. I used to live in Delco and was looking for somewhere to grab some seafood on the way home to West Virginia because we have no good places down here. My usual Hill was open a little later than desired so a quick Google search led me do this place which is on the way home. I cannot say enough good things. The crabs were phenomenal. I got a half dozen and they had probably as much meat in them as three dozen smaller ones. The shrimp are delicious. And the prices are more than reasonable. I will be a lifetime customer now every time I am in the area. Shout out to Tyler and Rick who made me feel like family. Definitely don’t forget the crab sauce if you’re a vinegar lover!
Wonderful neighborhood spot! Got the best PEI oysters for New Years. Very reasonable prices, helpful staff. Highly recommend!
Oh my lord. I had a great experience with/at Sansones. My crabs were super big and tastey. The price was perfect. I made crab soup deep fried in beer batter and steamed crabs. I will be making more trips there through out the summer. 10 STARS FROM ME
I want to really just say. I have got crabs 2 times. One time it was slimy and the other time good. So I went and got lots of different fish. I mean all of them. First off, some of them were already cleaned and on ice. So i didn't think anything of it. I thought maybe they did it earlier today. The place smells really bad all the time. And I'm a seafood/fish lover. And was raised knowing fresh fish. When I got home and put in the fridge. 1 hour later. My fridge smelled like hot boiling cootie cat!! So i went to wash and soak to freeze. When I saw this fish. I got porgy, ling, whiting, croacker, salmon and another I cant remember. Most of it was flaky and the blood was dark. Which is a sign. I couldn't save most of it. So some got thrown out. I wasn't about to go back and play with them
I visited this market based on all the positive reviews. I purchased enough fish to last at least 7 weeks- salmon, red snapper and grouper. I shouldn't have- my initial impression was the place smelled fishy- I rationalized this away by saying it's an older small place. The fish has been thrown out. After a smelly kitchen, churning stomach....Going against my first instinct was a mistake and losing that much money hurts. I will be driving back to Cambridge, MD to a location that did not smell and the fish was fresh. The extra distance is well worth it especially if your health is going to suffer. This place did not work for me. Fish should not smell fishy!
