SangeethaS Bhavan Indian Vegetarian Restaurant@Virginia

Pit stopped here during my grocery shopping. My South Indian veg thali was delicious. My chapathi was soft and the kurma was creamy. Kara kozhumbu could have been more tangy and punchier in flavor, and my mango pickle was sweet. Finally, my kesari bath could have been sweeter. Friendly and courteous staff. Ambience was pleasant and very clean. Overall, a nice meal 😋

Walked in for lunch around 1 pm and managed to get a seat soon. Now, before I write about the food, I want to mention that their service needs to be improved. Either they have a shortage of staff or they need to do better. Ordered the idli vada combo with masala dosa and kuttu parota for lunch. Honestly, everything we ordered tasted okay — not great not bad, just fine. The filter coffee was decent as well, but the chiku shake was too milky and sweet for my taste. The fruit in it was hardly noticeable. All in all, the experience was okay.

Our large group of 12 were seated promptly and orders all came out very timely, good service overall. This was our first time visiting Sangeethas and their food was a big hit!! All dosas from Rava Onion, Karam Masala and Mysore Masala were perfectly crispy and flavored, but the hero Dosa was their Ghee Roast (Ney Roast). Other menu items were all equally good and we enjoyed our Saturday lunch here. Only complain was the lack of Air Conditioning on a hot/humid Saturday, but looks like the restaurant is undergoing some internal renovations. Highly recommend visiting this place for their tasty food, but after the renovations wrap up if you are visiting on a hot day.

Had a very homely South Indian lunch here. The Thali is a must try and valakai bajji too.

Loved our dinner at Sangeetha. Very authentic and freshly prepared food. Would love to visit again.
