Sandston - Henrico County Public Library

Very cute and cozy but there are zero work stations for you to use your own computer to do any work here. I wanted to come in and catch up on some school work on my day off, but there isn't anywhere but the meeting rooms to plug in a laptop, which feels excessive for one person. What I like about Sanston's Location is that parking is right at the door...And the Bistro is right across the street🙂 My experience is in community development end office slash space design, interior design. I don't need to go to a mega library twith different floors.To do what I need to do. I feel safer than parking far away from the front door in an area.Where I don't think I can be seen if I need help. You don't have to flag down staff for assistance they are within viewing distance and very friendly as all of the locations i've experienced. I haven't been there for any programs.Or sessions... This library is a gem in the far East End of Henrico. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. For years we have held Homeowners Association meetings here, including a Christmas party. This summer we met weekly with our consultant in the study room which has a table big enough to seat 6. My kids drive me crazy and they are teen ages about going to get books.

I love this (little tiny) library! Their selection may be pretty small but it's close by and everyone who works there is super nice and helpful. Plus you can easily request a hold for any book from Henrico's huge catalog and pick it up here within a few days.

Library staff is very helpful and nice. They have a play area for the kids. Clean facilities. Also, weekly stories and activities for kids. Quite study rooms. Plenty of public computers and free WiFi. Also, if Sandston Branch does NOT have the book you are looking for they will arrange for another library to deliver the book for you to read or help you find it on one of the FREE sites/apps like Overdrive.
