Maya's Latin Kitchen - Sandston

Everything had so much flavor, from the seasoning on the tortilla chips to the salsas and food overall. The birria fries were amazing and almost reminded me of poutine. The Maya salad was huge and the empanadas were good both hot and cold as well (as a snack later). Tequila and micheladas were perfect!

This was my first time coming here and the experience was great! The salsa and chips are different than any Mexican restaurant I have eaten at. I ate the whole basket by myself lol I enjoyed all of my food. The birria tacos was very flavorful and the queso dip was a great addition to my meal. Jonathan was my server and he was such a sweetheart. I will be back soon.

My family and I ate here yesterday (11/18/25) for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. They start you out with salsa and a cream dip. We ordered guacamole and queso for appetizers. For our main course we ordered cheese, steak and chicken quesadilla and chicken enchiladas which I remembered to take pictures of. We did get dessert of flan and churros, the flan was good but it does have a cake like base that I had never had before when having flan which I didn’t personally like and the churros were a typical churro it does come with ice cream and this would be great for sharing if we weren’t so full by that point. We will be going back to try other items on the menu!

This place is nice. I love the festive decor, the friendly staff and the food ans drinks were excellent. We has the chicken quesadillas, barria tacos, ordered guac with the chips & salsa they seeved us and their spicy margaritas were so good. They do not skimp on food or drinks. Noticed they also serve breakfast too with Mexican breakfast options on their menu.Our new favorite Mexican spot hands down.

Since moving to VA from Texas I have searched for an authentic Mexican restaurant and that search finally ended today! Everything we ordered was truly delicious and tasted just like my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. This will be my family’s go-to Mexican restaurant from now on.
