San Jose Mexican Restaurant

Was visiting family in town and stopped in for a late dinner. Very flavorful and authentic Mexican food with great service and attentive staff. Order was taken quickly, drinks arrived cold and frosty. The food was great and I enjoyed it better than my local Mexican restaurants near where I live. Their beef enchiladas and crunchy taco combination were some of the best I've ever had. Their house made salsa was great, without too much cilantro as some places do. It was sweet and a little in the warm side as far as pepper heat goes.

Been driving by San Jose' on my way to get my haircut for ages, & have been meaning to stop in & check it out, today - I had the opportunity to do so, & share a holiday lunch with my neighbors who have dined there a number of times, and thought I would like it, they were correct! We enjoyed a nice lunch on Tuesday afternoon, around 12:30pm, the restaurant wasn't terribly crowded, but there were a number of folks enjoying their lunch at that time. We were seated promptly, served some chips & salsa while we looked over the menu, & one we placed our order, were served in a reasonable time frame, the food was delicious - I enjoyed the "Mexican Steak", while one of my neighbors enjoyed a burrito & the other a chicken dish. We recently had a family dinner at San Jose to bid farewell to my brother before he left for the Navy. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large party of 27 with ease, and the service was commendable. The food was served hot and was absolutely delicious, leaving everyone in our group satisfied and happy with their choices. It was a truly great night out, and I highly recommend San Jose for anyone looking to enjoy a meal with a large group in a welcoming atmosphere.

I have been coming here for over 1. 1/2 years. The food is always good. The service is ALWAYS terrible. I never know who our waiter or waitress is. IF they come back to the table, it’s “everything good?” As they are walking by without even giving you a chance to respond. More often than not I am chasing my waiter down or having to ask someone else for help. A waiter has never given their name. I have waited for more than 20 minutes more than 3 times for someone to even come to our table to order so I have left. Mind you. The restaurant has never been BUSY. I was a waitress for 15 years. So I give grace. But it’s unfortunate how bad this service is.
