Chesnut Cottage Inn

I truly don’t have one negative thing to say about the Chestnut Cottage. It’s beautiful, very clean, full of amazing history, in a great location and absolutely has the most AMAZING beds. We couldn’t have had a better stay. It is by far my favorite B&B that I’ve ever stayed in. The owners couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming.

From start to finish, our stay was fantastic! Our room had so many thoughtful touches such as a massage bed and unique toiletry items (ie. shower steamers and oil). Ken and Christal make you feel immediately at home and as if you’ve been friends for years. The breakfast is exceptional and their hospitality is even better! We will return!

This is the best bed-and-breakfast we have stayed in oner the past 35 years. We have traveled many countries and most of the states. The location is ideal. Breakfast was delicious and every detail is meticulously executed. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable.

The Cottage is wonderful. It is located in the center of Columbia ,near everything but on a quiet street. Its history is extremely rich for anyone interested in our Civil War. All guest rooms are unique, well decorated and well appointed.|The hosts are cordial ,knowledgeable and make you feel welcome and at ease.|The Cottage was decorated for Christmas and done beautifully. |The many course breakfast was incredible in both presentation and taste.|This is something you will LONG remember.

I stayed at Chestnut Cottage while visiting my daughter at college, and it was wonderful! When I arrived everything felt so peaceful with soft music, flickering candles by the fireplace, and lots of thoughtful touches. Christal and Ken were genuinely so kind. They even upgraded my room because another guest was leaving early and they didn’t want me to be disturbed. ||My room was ready early, and when I needed a late checkout, they said yes right away. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Breakfast each morning was homemade and delicious. Christal and Ken are friendly and easy to talk to. They gave great tips about local places to eat and visit. ||I left feeling relaxed and will definitely stay again next time I visit.
