Update 1/9/26: I’ve ordered here now like 5 times and I keep coming back. The food is incredible yes, but their service is also incredible!! The young lady in the front with glasses makes sure I’m welcome and taken care of no matter how busy they are! 10/10 highly recommended for eat in or to go. Thank you guys! Original December 2025: Ordered lunch today online. Food was ready in a flash. Order was partially wrong but I didn’t care. Tasted delicious!

Nice cozy and friendly lunch spot (pricy). Not super busy at the time of our visit but the service and food is note worthy. The parking ummm but I would recommend you visit for yourself.

San Jose Jr is such a great and cute Mexican restaurant! It’s like the perfect combination of a sit-down restaurant and a fast food restaurant. Our food came out as quickly as it does at a regular drive-thru, while maintaining the quality of a typical Mexican restaurant. Also, the workers at the front counter were such sweethearts, and seemed genuinely appreciative that we stopped in. Overall, San Jose Jr seems like the perfect, quaint, sit-down restaurant to get high-quality food in a time efficient and friendly manner. I’d highly recommend stopping by for lunch and/or dinner!

Decided to try out this new location and was glad I did! I loved their approach to offer a fast yet quality experience. I especially loved the addition of the salsa bar. The Jr location is uniquely different, and is a wonderful alternative of the San Jose we all know and love! Great service and food. Definitely a new lunch spot for us when we’re downtown.

San Jose Jr met my expectations. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted with an enthusiastic “Welcome!”—a great first impression. At this location, orders are placed at the counter even for dine-in guests, which was the only aspect I didn’t love. While they do bring your food to the table, you’re responsible for preparing your own fountain drink or water. The food itself was good. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the portion of chips served with my meal was generous. Overall: A very positive experience, and I look forward to returning.
