Sam's Hot Dog Stand

Not a very good hot dog. Bun was soggy I guess from not draining the water off.. And they used to have a good chili... And the onions didn't seem fresh either How hard is to chop an onion up daily. I'm not sure if it changed hands. But I won't be back.

Sam's is a quaint little restaurant serving up more than hotdogs. Serving up barbecue, certain sandwhiches, and desserts like banana pudding and cookies, it's a great go to spot for everyone. It's a tradition for my son and I to grab hotdogs here after getting our hair cut at Schwickys up the street. Prices are super reasonable and the staff is friendly. A great little hometown style restaurant that you should visit when you are in the area!

What a surprise find! I was on the back my husband's motorcycle headed to the Northern Neck when we decided we wanted a quick bite to eat. Someone had mentioned something about hot dogs in the area so a quick Google search found Sam's Hot Dog Stand .04 miles away. We got there just in time because as soon as we ordered our hot dogs, the place filled up at like, 11:30am! Lots of choices, hot dogs, BBQ, did I see a grilled cheese? Think I did. Decent prices! Hubs got the two chili dogs combo, and I got the one dog combo. They both came with the drink. I got crinkle fries, he got chips. The weather was beautiful, so we sat outside and enjoyed our dogs! We will likely stop in again.

I love my hot dog. It had chili coleslaw, ketchup, and mustard. Everything about it was amazing. I also had the fresh made every day banana pudding. Yum Yum Yum I will be back.

I heard the BBQ tasted like Bill’s while a few doors down. I’m happy to say that was indeed the case even the aroma was nostalgic. I look forward to trying more of the menu. Spotless eatery with super friendly staff. That sweet potato pie was calling me!
