Atlee Branch Library

This library is okay. It’s small, and If you have multiple children, beware that there is no door on the kids area like there is the teens so depending on the ages, you’ll be chasing them away from the stair case. When asking about this choice, to put a door on the teens area and not the children’s, I was met with passive aggression (“ I suppose parents will just have to watch their kids”) and told there’s no door on the teens area (so they just don’t know the library, because they clearly have an operational door.) It would be nice if they would consider doors in the children’s area like they have for the teens. And staff that remembers what it’s like having young kids.

Beautiful building with so much to offer! Everything is wonderfully spaced out and it looks bright and welcoming. Their children section is huge and has so much to offer! There are lots of areas to just sit and relax while looking through a book or magazine! There are two stories with a lovely staircase and elevator for those who need it. The staff is welcoming and kind and always willing to help if you need it. Response time for reserving books online to pick up there is really fast as well. There are meeting rooms and event rooms as well. The teen section has little desk for studying and even some private study rooms you can reserve at the front desk. Well done! This is a great library!

Amazing event Snacks of 1776: Lemonade and Popcorn! Loved the ambience, food & film “Felicity”. Ms Heather Lyle, librarian, was welcoming to us all & did a wonderful job hosting this awesome event!

Really love their desk arrangement, as we can work and enjoy nature at the same time.
