Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library

Although it's a smaller library, it is one of the nicer ones, with really nice people. Quiet, well organized. I recommend it to those looking for a quiet place to study. My only complaint is that there isn't much parking at all.

This library is my absolute favorite (and I have tried many libraries, not just in the area). The helpful and friendly staff Miss Anna (0-24 months, Wednesdays 11am) and Miss Brenda (2T - 6T, Thursdays 11am) make great storytimes, even for difficult children who don't want to sit with their parents during storytime. Miss Natascha is also really great. Everyone is friendly. Really everyone. Even the security is child-friendly. The entire downstairs is reserved for the kids, for example with great books, puzzles, kids games, puppet theater, dolls, toy animals, a place to color, every month there is a scavenger hunt, and so much more. My 2 year old twins love this library as much as I do, especially in the summer when it gets too hot outside for the playground, we love to visit here. I am a

Overall, this library was very nice; convenient to get to, and had plenty of parking (even tho is in a downtown location)... People there were courteous, and (believe it or not) able to answer questions too. I would like to see more table areas upstairs ("low" tables like in Kids area downstairs) for adults (for bringing laptop and working) (perhaps the "Community Room"???); however, I understand, Post-Vac World, places are a bit different about spaces and spacing. Anyhow, definitely a great place to come to for quiet, getting done some work, and help possibly with your studying too. 🙂

This is an amazing library especially if you have young kids. There is a great play area and a small park. Staff is so friendly.

I’m so lucky to be in walking distance of the coolest places to take your little ones, clean neat and organized very well, love how to kids can all get on the computer at one time and have fight over who’s next! Not to mention the staff are so awesome 👏🏽 and courteous no one following my oldest son around in fear he’s up to good while trying find Comic books Like he went through Glendale thank you Avondale for having one of the most amazing libraries in Arizona. Keep up the great work you guys made no mistake building this place. 🫶🏽
