Salty Fox Coffee

A quick stop in to get a cappuccino and a muffin before boarding my ferry back to Anacortes. Funky, old school vibe — this is literally a cafe in an old wooden house with lots of windows — with great views of the harbor. My capp cane out hot and foamy, and service was super cheery and efficient. Busy spot right near the main strip, but very pleasant.

While waiting to board the ferry in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island we were able to park our car and walk over to the Salty Fox coffee shop. I was able to enjoy a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie while my wife indulged in the cookie with lots of gluten. 😜 The shop itself is very cute and has an unreal view of the harbor. We were able to sit in a shady spot on the front porch surrounded by flowers and chirping birds and watch the hustle and bustle of ferries come and go. I'm surprised more people don't take advantage of this rather than just sit in their cars. The coffee was good and the atmosphere is great.

Rustic vibe coffee shop, cute coffee shop with some baked items, small gift shop, walk up window, or go inside. Enjoy your experience inside or out. I will say upon ordering we were told ten minutes for our coffee, impatient as we are, we almost canceled. Thank goodness we didn’t! My oat, mocha was the best! The chocolate was amazing, not too sweet, just perfect. Staff was friendly, coffee shop was clean. Great fun in Friday harbor!

Excellent coffee, wonderful breakfast sandwiches, great service. Tip: don't arrive 10 minutes before the ferry leaves, join a line with the other 500 ferry riders, and expect your coffee in 30 seconds. Just saying!

The mocha and cinnamon bun were delicious! The baristas were very friendly. Quaint cafe with a gorgeous view of the harbor.
