Sal's Original Pizzeria of Oneonta

This is a great spot to get a slice of New York style pizza, the only reason that they didn't get a Solid 5 stars is because the sauce is just a little sweet for my taste, really it would be 4 1/2 if I had the option. (Also I'm not saying the sauce is sweet but for those who prefer one extreme or the other this is only mildly mildly sweet)The sauce has excellent flavor very well seasoned with all of the herbs and spices you expect and the ratios are perfect and the cook on the pizza is always great. Combine that with late night hours and all that kind of jazz and you've got a great neighborhood classic spot. In fact I talked myself into giving them full five stars after watching them interact with the clientele.

Got the margherita pizza on a cold Veteran's Day. Amazing pie, great ingredients, and hot as all heck. Might be the best thin crust I've ever had, and the addition of crushed garlic to the simple stewed tomato/fresh mozz/fresh basil and olive oil put it over the top!

Always has been always will be the best. Treated my 65 year old neighbor to a meat lovers slice and he said "this is the best pizza I've had in my whole life" he had to know where I got it from. Chicken honey mustard slice pictured below. Also can't beat the prices.

One of the best pizza places in town. Used to order from here all the time until I moved out of the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful food is amazing. Very friendly atmosphere. And now as a doordash driver when coming in to pick up an order food is ready when the app says it will be available. Very fast and efficient service

Sal’s was great! My company was throwing a pizza party for one of our partner stores, and Sal’s was able to have 13 pies ready to go in one hour after opening! Price was great and most importantly the pizza was too. Even helped me carry it to the car. Thanks!
