Sal's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria West End Radford

This place was recommend to us by locals who live in the area. The restaurant is clean and bright inside. Staff is friendly and professional. We were seated immediately. Theere is so much to choose from on the menu. There is a good selection on the lunch menu. The food did not take long to arrive after ordering. Food tasted great.

Wrong name on your online menu. Thought I ordered chicken with mushrooms and what looked like beef sauce. What I got was chicken with lemon and capers. Pic online what I wanted versus what I got. ALWAYS great food and great staff all the years I have been eating there. Highly recommend them despite this small error.

Their food is amazing and the portions are gigantic. I had the eggplant parm and it was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce, my wife had a calzone which was equally delicious. Our party had a total of 10 people and everyone said the same thing — delicious. Sal’s has a large menu with something for everyone.

Went in today to get 2 pizzas and 2 orders of wings. The son was running the register. I believe his dad came out and shook my hand and asked how I was. I have never been at a more comfortable place than here. The service is undeniable great! The food amazing. Cheers to the son at the register. You belong there. Don't leave. I'll be back just because of you.

Good cheesesteaks. They are very much like the Philly cheesesteaks I grew up with when we lived in SE Pennsylvania for 60+ years. One thing I don’t understand is the mayo on the cheesesteaks. Must be a southern thing I guess and I simply ask for no mayonnaise when we order. They found a use a good bread supplier for the steak rolls. Bread makes the sandwich, no matter what it is stuffed with. I know, I’ve been in the bakery equipment business for over 40+ years and know a good tasting roll when I come across one.
