Nesselrod on the New

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet night and morning breakfast at Nesselrod B&B on our way home to NC. We rented the Lily of the Valley room, which was very spacious and private. Everything about the home was clean and cozy, with great areas to spread out, indoors, or stroll around on the property outdoors. Our host, Jeff, was informative and accommodating, He went the extra mile, though, by mailing us an insulated lunch bag we mistakenly left behind in our room! Kudos for the gracious hosting, and thanks!|We highly recommend the Nesselrod as a superior and more comfortable alternative to the endless generic hotels when near Radford/Blacksburg/Christiansburg!

Our daughter booked Nesselrod for her wedding held in August 2024. She doesn't live locally, so I (mom) had to do a lot of the "legwork." Brittany and Joe couldn't have been nicer to work with. My husband and I had multiple meetings and had many text conversations with Brittany and Joe shortly after they took ownership of Nesselrod. They heard all our concerns and helped us plan the most wonderful wedding day. The wedding party had use of the guest house the day of the wedding, and it was great to have that space for everyone to get ready. The gazebo area was set up beautifully for the ceremony. Our decor for the reception was minimal (as our daughter requested), but the pavilion space was perfect. If I had another daughter, we would definitely try to book Nesselrod again!

Disappointed with Our Experience at Nesselrod on the New Our wedding day was meant to be intimate, magical, and as stress-free as possible. We chose Nesselrod on the New in Radford, Virginia, based on its rustic charm and promises made by the new owner, Brittany. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations due to miscommunication, broken promises, and a lack of professionalism. When we toured the venue in July, Brittany assured us that the barn would be fully enclosed with permanent walls and heated floors by our November wedding. She also offered to handle decorating, requesting a Pinterest board for inspiration. Early on, however, there were warning signs: she gave multiple different price quotes, delayed sending the contract for over 10 days, and often forgot details w

We attended the NRV Agency on Aging event there last night, and it was wonderful! The updated venue is gorgeous, and the new owners really care about the property and the guests. Highly highly recommend them for future events and stays!

This was our second time staying here and it was great! We needed to leave before breakfast one morning and was accommodated with a 'to go' breakfast sandwich and fresh brewed coffee. We'll be returning in August and probably have stays beyond that. The location is accessible to shopping, restaurants and activities. However, it is perched on a hill that you feel secluded and are surrounded by wildlife and gardens.
