Salida Public Library

Had a great experience at the Salida public library. The staff were very helpful. They ordered the books we requested and my son was ecstatic about the selection of manga books they have. My daughter and I sat and played uno awhile.

Normally we have a good experience here but tonight the security guard found it necessary to berate me because my 13 month old wasn't wearing shoes, only socks. My baby was quietly and happily toddling around in the children's section and the security guard was very rude and condescending.

Great place to take children and to get your library card for online books. We spent time on a computer with a 3rd grader learning countries/flags on one of their programs.

Came here for my passport after the paradise USPS location did me dirty twice (highly not recommended). The ladies at this Salida library location were friendly, professional and super helpful. I was missing something, and was given the chance to go get it and come back real quick without having to reschedule. The service was quick and the lady who helped me explained everything in a way that was very easy to understand. Thank you!

The library is nice and all but I thought we were supposed to be quiet in the library. Too many people being loud and treating it like a hangout gathering rather than a library. Of course quiet whispering is totally fine, it doesn't have to be completely dead silent. But I hear so many loud conversations and kids running all over the place. I love seeing kids at the library but it's not a playground. Teach them proper library etiquette young! Overall the library is clean and extremely nice. Just wish the rules were enforced a little more.
