Salaam Market

Loved loved the big eggplant sandwich, enough that I might even dream about it-the pickles were a yummy touch. I got the feeling an experienced grill cook. Mainly a small to go market w some inside booths but not being used when I was there. Baklava was huge and nicely crafted. Call ahead. Some good food coming out of Salaam!

The Market side is 5 stars. Worth the visit if you are seeking the products they sell. I'm a fan of sour cherry juice and the pita bread I purchased is great. There is a good selection of spices and other products for fans of Mediterranean flavor profiles. The Cafe side, however, is not recommended. The hummus was bland and tasted old, no hint of lemon or garlic. The tabouleh was not good. It wasn't even green anymore it was so old; the parsley and mint had lost all color. The Lamb shawarma was just okay. Since I didn't smell any meat cooking, I'm guessing we were served leftovers from the weekend. The baklava serving was large. We took home some spanakopita, but after heating it as directed, took a bite and tossed it. It's unfortunate that my experience on the cafe side did not match the

Excellent food. The taste of chicken kebabs, lamb gyro and any other food we tasted here is outstanding. Their style is authentic. The cook cum owner of the restaurant is very friendly. He will offer all varieties on the menu for tasting. That helped me decide what I would like to eat. Prices are just a little on the high side. The sides would’ve tasted better if served hot. If asked, the owner is heating them up for us. Ambience and cleanliness can be improved. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I smelled strong cigarette smoke- that thing is a total no no for me. If that was not there, I would love to visit this place frequently for its amazing food.

Authentic Mediterranean food had a lamb gyro and a baklava was yummy. You can also get products from the Middle East.

Great market! Came here on the recommendation of a local store. The service was very friendly. I ordered the gyro combo with fries and a drink and when I said it was my first time the owner offered a sample of the fresh made hummus. It was very smooth and something I will get if I am ever back in the area. Big portions and a great meal!
