Rutherford Public Library

The library is nice, but nobody follows the rules. As I write this review there are 2 teenagers chatting and eating a hamburger next to me on the upstairs floor. The staff are not warning them to be quiet or not to eat. If you get annoyed by chewing sounds and the smell of burgers while you’re trying to study, don’t come here. This is a constant occurrence. The staff are nice but PLEASE enforce the rules such as no eating and no chatting. No talking on the phone.

This is not a suitable place for studying at all. It is very noisy, with children constantly running around. The tables are often dirty and covered with food stains, and they are not cleaned properly. Most of the visitors are high school students who talk very loudly. Even though there are signs saying that eating is not allowed, people still sit at the tables and eat.

The computers here SUCK. Screen displays are widened, so nothing looks what its supposed to. Paint programs on the computer don't work. Aren't libraries supposed to be a place where you can relax in the peace and quiet? NOT HERE. People listen to videos on their phones WITHOUT headphones. ANNOYING. I forgot why i don't come here any more.

Excellent library, clean and neat. Lots of books movies and other items to use. They even have several computers to use as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If they don’t have the book(s) you seek, they will arrange to get them! Parking is on street with meters.... No parking lot available.

Rutherford Public Library is well-maintained, welcoming space with great resources for the community.
