Rusty Hook Saloon and Smokehouse

Food was alright. The ribs were not as good as we heard about. The pork sandwich was really good. The service was okay. The dinning room was pretty empty, we didn't really see the The server except a couple times. Not sure we'll be back. The BBQ sauce variety is amazing! Pineapple, regular, smoke, (don't remember what the the hot one is called. Spicy)

Stopped for a late lunch. We got our beers but the bartender was more interested in talking to an other customer than asking if we wanted food. We have eaten there before. But our once a year stop probably won't happen anymore.

The ribs were tender and flavorful, and the original bbq sauce was wonderful. The portions were excellent for the price. We were happy with everything and glad we stopped in.

We got the tackle box for 4 with brisket. It was so good. Ribs were a dry rub with a bit of heat. The bbq sauce balanced it out perfectly. They did have spicy, smoke, original, pineapple, and cranberry sauces. Brisket was nice and tender. The chicken was juicy. Coleslaw was the diced cabbage variety and very good. Beans had a kick as well but not too much and had some of the smoked meats in it i belive for that extra touch. Cornbread muffins are extra sweet to compliment the jalapeños that are in them. Dont you worry they too were good. I have been searching for ribs like this for some time. Food was excellent.

We stopped by for a quick drink on our way back to the campground and ordered 1 beer and 1 mixed drink, the total was $14. I was kind of shocked at the price since the beer was Busch Light and the drink was just a vodka soda. Nothing fancy. The bartender wasn’t very engaging.There was free popcorn.
