Roy's Catfish Hut

Husband and I have passed this place up for years coming to coushatta, last night decided to stop in for dinner. Well let me tell you it didn't disappoint. We had the seafood platter and everything was on point. The salad bar was really nice and the waitress there, I can't remember her name, but she was very tentive. Making sure we were well taken care of. Well definitely return and tell our friends about it.

Stopped at this restaurant over the weekend on our way to the casino as I had previously read the reviews. The staff are friendly and attentive. I loved the salad bar and their macaroni salad is delicious. We ordered the grilled catfish and baked potato. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasty. The sweet tea was awesome. They were busy, but the staff made sure to check on us asking if we needed anything. I highly recommend if you are in town to stop here for a bite to eat.

We arrived right before a storm hit. The lights kept going off and on. The staff was persistent in getting our meals out in case they lost electricity. The food was so good and we were happy to be able to enjoy with the lights on.

I ordered the Ribeye and grilled shrimp. The salad bar is really good, baked potato was just right. The steak on the other hand was one of the worse I've ever had. I ordered medium and it came out a little more than medium well. The meat looked as if it had been frozen and thawed to be cooked. Flavor was not good at all. The shrimp were cold and lacked flavor as well. They had seasoning, but it was just not good. For 33 dollars, it was a huge disappointment. But everyone else that was there enjoyed their fried fish and fried shrimp. I just didn't want anything fried that day.

Best fried catfish I have ever eaten! Friendly staff and normal waiting time. After you order, you can access the salad bar immediately and chat as your order is prepared. Great sweet tea 😀
