Rosangela’s Pizza

First time at this south side staple. After seeing it on a lot of top 10 lists finally made the trip to Evergreen Park. The pizza was excellent. Not quite cracker thin as some other spots, but still very crisp edges. Sauce and cheese were flavorful and balanced. Toppings wise the mushrooms and sausage were standouts. Excellent onion rings as well. Service was great and the price was very reasonable, will return if in the area again. One small recommendation, giardinera and sauces would be nice in ramekins instead of plastic containers but I assume that's how it goes due to takeout. Overall, highly recommended.

Authentic thin crust with nice flavor. Very good sauce, and just the right amount. Cheese smelled fantastic. Sausage was cooked just right. Service was excellent! Fast, friendly, made us feel welcome on our first visit. Parking in their own lot.

I love this spot! Ample parking makes it a breeze to visit, and in my three trips here, I’ve never once had to wait for a table. The staff feels like a tight-knit family, clearly enjoying their work with infectious enthusiasm. 😊 I’ve destroyed their pizza twice—it’s outstanding every time—and the gnocchi in vodka sauce was nothing short of phenomenal. Paired with a crisp Great Lakes beer and a perfectly crafted old fashioned, it made for an unforgettable meal. I’ll be returning soon without a doubt!

Had the Pizza and took home a beef. This place was highly recommended and did not disappoint.

Growing up in the Chicago area, especially on the south side, you EXPECT local pizza joints to be good. Lots of places that don't primarily sell pizza still have better pizza that you get in other parts of the country. Though it's been around for a long time, as have I, I'd never tried Rosangela's prior to this time, and I'm here to say that I am a believer. I tried introducing a colleague of mine to chicago pizza at a couple other places, and they did not impress him... Rosangela's did. Just a medium special and a drink, but I will tell you that it's some of the best tavern style things crust pizza you'll ever have. It's as good as your favorite place, and likely better. Try it.
