Rock'N Fish

Rock N Fish has great seafood and drinks in a casual atmosphere right on the beach/pier in Manhattan in the center of all the action. The patio is a great spot to people watch and take in the beautiful weather. The crab cakes are massive and delicious. The lobster tacos were a hit with a hard shell and special sauce. The crusted mahi mahi was outstanding.. very crisp but light and very flavorful with a fruit salsa on top and served over asparagus. Overall the food was excellent. They also have a wide variety on the menu.. tacos, burgers, fish sammies, prime rib specials, plenty of steak choices... there is a lot of choice and you can't go wrong because the food is all great. I was in SOCAL for work this past week.. Our group of seven selected Rock'N Fish as the venue for our final dinner gathering and we weren't disappointed!! Among the dishes sampled were the filet, the blackened rock fish, fish & chips, seafood jambalaya, and the teriyaki chicken.. We also had the sourdough, crispy calamari, and garlic cheese toast appetizers!! Several beverages were sampled, too.. Among those the blood orange mule, fish house punch, and the spicy pineapple 🍍 margarita.. Everything was fantastic!! I sampled the spicy pineapple margarita and it delivered a refreshing combination of pineapple juice and jalapeño tequila.. Rimmed with Tajín, the overall presentation was quite delightful.. "Rock’N Fish starts with the best bartender in town: Ian Hutton! 🥂 Ian is a total pro—he knows the menu perfectly and just feels the vibe. Tonight, Kristina and I had the Rib Eye with Mac 'n Cheese and a Baked Potato (so good!). ​The Daou Chardonnay was the perfect pairing. Came to celebrate a Birthday. Got the seafood food tower, boy this was wonderful!! The seafood was so fresh and the Horse Radish that came with it was the best we ever had. I know that odd thing to bring up but it was that good. I really want to make this an Annual thing to get the Seafood Tower. They have the prime rib on Sunday so might come back or do a delivery just for that. They were celebrating their 25 years Anniversary got the Navy Grogg, which was super tasty and sweet. Got to take the glass home for this celebration. Last but not least, the cream brulee was unbelieveable. Really nice seafood restaurant right in the heart of Manhattan Beach. They serve the biggest oysters I have ever seen. The fish are very fresh and have no fishy flavor at all. The coconut shrimp were big and crispy, packed with flavor. The interior decoration is great and the staff are very friendly.
