Customer Reviews
My boyfriend and I tried Rocco’s this evening! It was my first time experience, he has been here before. Something about me before this review: I grew up in the restaurant industry, my mom is a chef, and I work in customer service. He called ahead to put our names on the list, they don’t take reservations for under 10 people, but we still had to wait quite a bit to be seated. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful and it smelled delightful. Once we were seated, our waitress was very attentive, she was an older lady, my partner said he had served him before when he was there. She was pleasant, got our drinks, appetizer, etc. when she came back, she went to take our entree order and I asked for the linguine vongole bianco, because that’s my go to order, and she said they were out of the bia
Rocco's is a staple of the tri-state area and has been around an extremely long time. I have to say, I've had their lasagna at home more than anything else; however, when I get a chance to visit their restaurant and sample the full menu, I am never disappointed. Truly, it feels like a place Tony Soprano would eat at. Dimly lit, usually packed with patrons, and staff dressed in fairly formal attire. Its very cozy and very lively. Never once have I had a complaint. Although, if I could change one thing, I might upgrade the chairs to something more comfortable. The last time I went, I had gnoche and it was excellent. If you go home starving then you must not have seen the bread basket, you didnt care for your food (highly unlikely), or you are a sumo wrestler with an insatiable appetite. Yo
The trout ravioli is a must! As is the crack bread! So delicious!!! If you like Guinness they have a beer similar that is delicious and it was called Newcastle or something. I had the Alfredo and it was good. My husband had the lasagna and stuffed peppers and raved about them. It's a cozy little romantic spot perfect for a date and fancy enough to propose at just so you know. They had a guy playing piano live and it was very nice!
Amazing food, amazing service. Waiters are extremely quick to notice if you need a refill or more bread. Very romantic setting perfect for our anniversary.
This has probably been one of the most overhyped restaurants in the area. Finally decided to take the wife there for a nice date. Get there, it’s dark and cold inside. Crowded tables inside so you’re right on top of the next party. The free bread is terrible. The waitress spent more time gabbing with other parties (seemed like the thing the whole wait staff did. It’s like they all just hang out with people they know coming in). The mushroom soup was like warm. The salad was good. The main courses came out (fettuccine with sausage) and wife got angel hair. She enjoyed hers but mine was not good. I will give them props for the sausage; it was the only thing enjoyable besides my company about this meal. Nearly $100 after tip for one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Wouldn’t recommend
