Riverside Branch Library

I love to bring my young toddler here for storytime hour, and also the toddler play group. This library has a great play area for young children, and lots of local parents come here to let their kids socialize and build early pre-K prep skills, like sitting in a circle, singing along, listening, and following routines as a group. I so appreciate the librarians and community members who host these events. We even make a habit of checking out fun books when we come, which you can return to any local library branch. Woo!!!

I recently needed to scan some documents and to print out other documents for applications I was completing. I don't have a printer at home. The scanning, uploading and printing equipment at this neighborhood library is extensive, and user friendly. I expected to be working on the application at the library for a few hours. I was done in about 45 minutes. Efficient, friendly, helpful staff.

Small library, children's section is large and the young adult, but if you want any more mature reading, you'll have to order it from another library. Place is well kept and has plenty of work space, librarians were harsh on a woman who was obviously homeless and was asking about a resource for the GED exam.

Riverside branch library needs some adult programming such as that dealing with the history, ecology, geology, culture, etc. of the riverside area. Also some live music performances in their activities room.

The librarians are nothing BUT helpful. They always help, whether it's looking for a book or video, explaining something about a library program, finding something on the web, and so much more. It's 1 hour per person on the computer, unless there is no one else waiting, then you can continue for another hour and so on until someone else is waiting. The few times that I have needed to use a computer, I either got right on one, or only had a short wait. That makes perfect sense and is perfectly reasonable, unless of course you are unreasonable, ignorant and inconsiderate of others, as the person complaining would appear to be.
