Rivers Edge Bar and Grill

A small restaurant with inside and outside seating near the river and one of a few in Darian along RT 17. The place is casual, laid back, a small town feeling and very friendly. The service was super friendly and attentive, talkative and down to earth. The food was very good; the side salad was fresh and the blackened chicken sandwich with added cheese was extremely tender and juicy; by far one of the best ones ever I’ve had, nice and thin and cooked to perfection.

Great restaurant on the river in Darien! I had chicken strips and sweet potato fries. Delicious! My husband had biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy. Said it’s the best biscuits and gravy he’s ever had! Owner stopped by all tables to chat and make sure everything was ok. Will definitely be back!

Place was dead on a Friday evening around 6 p.m. Decided to sit inside for dinner. Ordered Buffalo and dry rub lemon pepper wings for an appetizer, incredible! I love wings and order the quite often, these were some of the best wings I've ever tasted. I had blackened shrimp tacos, with a side of corn (amazing) and mixed vegetables grilled to perfection. Wife had fried shrimp tacos, also with corn and French fries. All the food was fantastic, not even remotely bar-style offerings. The place is a huge two story building with a well stocked bar and a beer taps. It's positioned right on the river with a huge screened in patio and an additional uncovered patio on the ground floor. We went at lunchtime and it was quiet. The service was very fast and Ms. Peyton was a great server. She was very helpful. 10/10 on the lunch menu. The place was very clean, great music, serves and the game was on!!!!

We always stop in Darien Ga. on our way home from a cruise. We were walking around town as we always do and decided to stop in the Rivers Edge Bar and Grill. We like to sit at the bar to chat with local people and to our surprise the owner Carlton and his wife Jordan happen to be sitting there. We started talking and they made us feel right at home like they knew us their whole lives! So we decided to go back for dinner and it was amazing food. My husband had the Surf and Turf. It was a 24oz ribeye and fried shrimp he said it was the best ribeye he has ever had!! I had the smash burger it was amazing! Next time we are in town that’s the only place we will eat!! Thanks for a great experience!!!
